They were so right when they said I am poison
I would tear your soul apart 'till you're numb
but yet you coped with all the sorrow
and there's nothing left of you tonight
Love me just once again
I can't deny I have crossed the line
Love me just once again
I swear I'll try to stay beside you
You gave me trust, I broke you with no shame
I have used you like a dirty cloth to shred
I know there's nothing I can say to wipe the pain
but just look into my eyes when I say
Love me just once again
I can't deny I have crossed the line
Love me just once again
I swear I'll try to stay beside you
It's a great blend of different metal genres and styles, with great solos in basically every song, just that touch of oriental influences that feel natural but not artificial and above all else, performed by the beautiful, haunting voice of Jelena Dobric, who uses it in a way that is not the typical operatic approach as we are used to from other female-fronted bands wormys_queue
As several of the other reviewers have stated, Leah does seem to have progressed from 'Of Earth and Angels'.
The 'Do Not Stand ...' track initially attracted me as my partner loves the poem. It is indeed atmospheric. I found though that the whole EP is enjoyable. I think the 'Kings & Queens' album will find it's way into my collection sooner rather than later. Russell Whyman
